This course is a project based synthesis of the methods of Mechanical Engineering covered in other courses. Teams of students and professors work on real-world projects sponsored by industry to develop implementable solutions. The problem can be design of a new product, improvement of a previous product, or design of a machine tool to carry out a specific task. Teams deal with the design of a machine or a product defined by the specifications. Project selection, project organization, budgeting and cost estimation, progress and performance measurement and evaluation, and project auditing. Project planning and control techniques Detail analysis of the design will be carried out.
