Introduction to algorithmic solutions; data representation; MATLAB fundamentals: interactive computation, script files, functions, one dimensional and two dimensional arrays; MATLAB programming: flowcharts, loops, conditional structures; plotting data. Emphasis will be placed on the solutions of characteristic problems arising in mechanical engineering.
