SUBJECT 1: Design of A 6-Component Pyramidal Balance for Çankaya University’s Wind Tunnel
STUDY: A 6-component (three moments and three forces) pyramidal balance system will be designed, manufactured and verified for using with the wind tunnel of Çankaya University. Precision and accuracy of the system should be at least 0.01% and 0.1%, respectively. Total cost should not exceed 2,000 TL.

SUBJECT 2: Simulation of Ballistic Test for Personal Body Armor
STUDY: Personal body armor is classified into six types (IIA, II, IIIA, III,IV, special type) by level of ballistic performance. Ballistic tests of personal body armor will be simulated by using LS-DYNA. Objective of the study is to design personal body armor that will fit into the desired protection levels. An optimization is to be done to satisfy functional, weight, performance and cost requirements of the potential users. A special attention is to be paid to use of different composite laminae/laminates.
