Abstract :
Within the scope of the project, health problems in the knee region of the human body are addressed. In this direction, a support system has been designed, manufactured, and tested is planned against knee strain. The condition that knees are exposed to most in daily life is walking. The angle formed in the knee joint during walking is approximately 0-65 °, 0-85 ° when climbing stairs and 90° when sitting. These angle values take different values in accordance with different movements. According to these values, the amount of load caused by body weight in this region varies. The knee brace is produced in a way that meets this working range. Knee brace is basically composed of three parts. These can be divided into elastic main body, plastic handles and fixing strap. The elastic front body, which is generally thought to be produced with 3d printer technology, is the most important part of the system. It helps the muscle and bone structure in the area by supporting the load that occurs during knee movements in the elasticity. Plastic parts and strap help fix the knee pad by bringing it in proper position.
In this way, besides supporting the load, it helps to accelerate patella stabilization and blood flow in the region. In line with the above-mentioned purposes, the components were produced separately, and test planning was made.
